I'm not an engineer. I'm a former teacher.
I spent years watching people walk into the most important moments of their lives — completely alone. Job interviews. Negotiations. Difficult conversations.

So I built one.
In six weeks, working alone, I filed 11 patent applications on a complete ambient AI platform — because I understood something engineers often miss. This was never a software problem. It was a human behavior problem.

He has filed eleven pending patents pro se spanning 240+ claims and 60+ inventions, and holds a B.A. in Sociology and an M.Ed. in Leadership.

With 15+ years linking software development and product strategy, Joe most recently was Director of Product Development at zyBooks (John Wiley & Sons), where his interactive courseware reached hundreds of thousands of students. He now teaches software engineering at the University of Rhode Island and holds leadership roles with CS4RI, SkillsUSA National Computer Programming, and the Computer Science Teachers Association of Rhode Island.
